Archana Santra, artist and resident of Queens NY, was
horn in India .
She is a graduate in Arts from Calcutta
(Burdwan) and also Maharashtra Mumbai. Her style is self developed and self
taught.
She took to art as a departure from death, her encounter
with the loss of her loved ones left her seeking more out of life and she
turned her attention towards an inner journey through the medium of art.
She stayed twenty three years in Rajasthan which is a
desert.
Archana
has had five individual gallery exhibits, her most recent one (2OI3) at the
Jehangir art gallery, (Kalaghoda) in Mumbai ,
India and has been in group
shows in Brooklyn and Queens . She teaches women
art and design in Queens and Brooklyn .
She is
